  • Nemo Losi 3P
    • A great moto camping tent.  Decent height for a backpacking style tent, plenty of room for 2 full grown adults with room for riding gear.  Vestibule on both sides for storage and middle of the night trips out.  Easy to set up and take down, packs down small for a 3person tent and quality is superb.  After many years in the outdoor industry and seeing literally hundreds of tents, this is the one I bought.  Still happy about the purchase several years later.  Keep it clean and dry and it will last for many years to come.

    • A knife for moto camping should be a utility tool, one that will chop trees, baton firewood, cut a shredded tire off a rim and slice tomatoes without issue. (I would wash it in between the tire and tomatoes, or it might add some extra flavor to dinner)  After almost a decade of buying a selling high end knives in a retail store I though I had seen the best, Benchmade.  While Benchmade makes a great product, even made here in the US, its not quite a tool in my book.  I did some research and found RAT knives and the brother company Esee Knives.  They seem to get excellent reviews on many sites and forums with knife collectors and zombie hunters alike.  I wanted something thick enough that it could take a beating without breaking and in the off chance I could use it for survival.  I settled on the Esee-5,  1/4in think, full tang, removable/replaceable handles and as Esee claims; can cut a SERE operator out of a plane cockpit in a pinch.  This thing is a beast that will handle all of the tasks I would ever encounter on the bike.  This is a true buy it for life purchase, it will be around for a while.  I would encourage anyone looking for a new knife to look in to Esee, I am very impressed with the quality of these knives.  I was a Benchmade fan for a long time and still like the looks of them but if you want a true work knife look past Benchmade and check out Esee Knives.
